Affirmation A3 Print on 160 gsm paper

Our personal journey of independence is a life long one. As we grow and explore we gain all kinds of knowledge and wisdom from our experiences. Some of these knowings and truths can come from the Earth & Nature, the Divine Cosmos or our own inner spirit and soul. Society, certain structures and systems can make us feel at times that codependence is an easier option and it may be though Indigenous knowledge calls us to rely on and connect with each other - we must always remain self sovereign!

This print includes a rendition of the Adinkra symbol ‘Owia Kokroko’ translating in Asante Twi to ‘The Greatness of the Sun’. To the Akan the Sun is reverenced as a great Force that provides vitality, illuminating protection and divine sustenance for the Earth. May we receive and embody this energy as lead own lives with the twists and turns of our destiny path.
